Why is China against Winnie the Pooh? I believe that China is against these memes because they want to protect their political establishment. The idea of such character to be associated with the supreme leader is so silly to them. Essentially, China is doing this because they want to be seen as serious. They don’t want to provide any possibility for their integrity to be jeopardized piece by piece. All this at the expense of freedom of speech. Is this wrong? Well from Chinas perspective, they are maintaining their authority. In criminology, this type of maintenance is a political crime. They are preventing their political establishment from regime change. From the perspective of the common person, yes it is wrong, because it goes against free speech. I am a firm believer of free speech and I sincerely believe that leftist, “bs,” to save the feelings of another is a way for the left to get a grasp on our societies. Lest we should be careful next time someone prevents us from speaking our mind.
